Kirk is the founder of Wilder Retreats and a pioneer in nature-based experience design. He focuses on moving teams out of digital ruts by using natural environments as strategic tools for corporate growth. Kirk believes that authentic connection happens most effectively when people are removed from traditional office settings. At Wilder Retreats, he leads the creative vision and site selection process to ensure every destination serves as a catalyst for a company's next chapter. His background in outdoor leadership informs a unique philosophy of balancing high-stakes strategy with environmental restoration. Kirk lives in Boulder, Colorado, with his wife and their five children.

Kim Burchfield is dedicated to crafting seamless, high-impact team experiences. With over 25 years in global travel and experiential programming, she leads our Operations team, ensuring that every retreat is executed flawlessly. Before Wilder, Kim led immersive programs at WorldStrides, facilitating leadership and cultural experiences across six continents. Her passion for connection and transformation drives her work, creating retreats that inspire growth, collaboration, and lasting impact. Kim has lived in 4 countries and 5 states and has traveled to 40 countries. When she's not working or traveling, you can find Kim on the sidelines of her teenage boys' soccer games or running her Brittany Spaniel, Pearl.

Lauren Manson specializes in creating retreats that unite teams and foster connections. Previously, she led international programs 
for faculty and professionals at WorldStrides, managing groups of 10 to 150+ across six continents. At home, she serves on the Advisory Board for Little Hands Virginia and loves adventuring with her husband, three kids and golden retriever.

Morgan Shepherd is a Client Manager at Wilder Retreats, where she helps organizations design and deliver seamless, high-impact offsite experiences. With a background in hospitality and event production, she blends creativity with precision to turn ambitious retreat goals into smooth, unforgettable programs. Known for her proactive communication and attention to detail, Morgan guides clients from the first planning call through on-site execution—ensuring they can stay fully present while she handles the logistics. Outside of work, she’s usually exploring new coffee spots, hiking local trails, or curating playlists for future adventures.

Mike has trained hundreds of leaders, led high-stakes sessions, and teaches graduate-level courses on team dynamics. At Wilder, he channels this expertise into nature-based offsites that strengthen connection through premium retreats in iconic landscapes. Expect crisp facilitation, measurable outcomes, and a shift in perspective; Mike also leads AdventureEDGE, a coaching-in-motion experience that brings high-leverage strategy into the outdoors.

Betsy Stubblefield Loucks designs retreats integrating strategy, mindfulness, and the natural world. With two decades of experience guiding organizations through visioning and change, she brings a thoughtful balance of structure and spaciousness to clients like BASF, the CDC, and Brown University. Holding an MS from Harvard and an MBA from Concordia, Betsy blends analytical clarity with deep human connection. Based at Brown University, she facilitates cross-disciplinary teams addressing global climate and health challenges. An avid trail runner and ocean swimmer, she brings that same vitality and purpose to every Wilder retreat.

Damian Ewens is a Stanford-trained strategist and ocean adventurer with 25 years of experience guiding leaders through change. He has facilitated retreats for global brands like Tiffany & Co., Fendi, and the Obama White House, blending executive insight with deep presence. Founder of Ocean State of Mind, Damian integrates mindfulness and breathwork to help teams reconnect to purpose. A certified meditation teacher and former startup founder, his approach balances clarity with adventure. Whether coaching Fortune 500s or freediving the Rhode Island coast, Damian explores how ocean immersion restores focus and organizational courage.
