The Challenge
What Was Getting in the Way
Path Water is committed to sustainable, eco-friendly packaging, and it wanted a team retreat that reflected those values.
Leadership had three goals: build stronger relationships across the team, break down communication barriers between departments, and step back far enough from daily work to get clear on the company’s long-term vision.
The Approach
What We Did Together
Wilder designed a retreat in Yosemite National Park with a mix of shared outdoor challenges and quieter time for conversation.
Guided hikes through Yosemite Valley set the foundation for trust. Rock climbing sessions pushed teammates to communicate and solve problems together, while horseback riding and UTV adventures added a sense of fun and adventure. Fly fishing on Yosemite’s rivers gave people time to slow down and talk about more than work.
The Outcome
What Changed
The shared challenges built trust and camaraderie that carried back into the workplace. The informal setting made it easier for people across departments to talk openly, and the time away gave leadership a fresh perspective and a more unified understanding of the company’s long-term goals.
