Banff combines world-class mountain scenery with easy access. Calgary International has nonstop flights from most major cities, and within 90 minutes teams are in a national park with lakes, trails, wildlife and hotels built to host groups.
It depends on your group and goals. Fairmont Banff Springs has 745 rooms and extensive meeting space in its historic castle, best for large groups that want an iconic setting. The Post Hotel & Spa in Lake Louise is a Relais & Châteaux property with 95 rooms, suites and log cabins, ideal for leadership teams of up to about 40. Rimrock Banff has 320 rooms on Sulphur Mountain with sweeping valley views and a ballroom for up to 500, a strong fit for groups of 100 or more. We’ll recommend the best fit for your group size, goals and budget.
June through September brings long days, open trails and turquoise lakes. September offers fewer crowds and fall color. December through March is ski and dog sledding season, and spring is the quietest time of year.
Fly into Calgary International (YYC). Banff Springs and Rimrock are about 90 minutes away, and the Post Hotel in Lake Louise is about two hours. US travelers need a valid passport. We handle all ground transfers.
Yes. They are about 40 minutes apart, so many teams stay in one and spend a day in the other for Lake Louise, Moraine Lake or a gondola ride.
Beyond the featured experiences, teams can ride the Banff Gondola, canoe Lake Louise, soak in the Banff Upper Hot Springs, ski Sunshine Village or Lake Louise, or walk the frozen canyons of Johnston Canyon in winter.
Yes. Fairmont Banff Springs and Rimrock Banff can each host several hundred people, with large ballrooms and breakout rooms.
Yes. In summer and early fall we use terraces and lawns with mountain views for sessions and receptions, with an indoor room held as a backup.
Yes. The river float, safari and photography session need no experience, and dog sledding is guided for first-timers. Hikes are paced for the group, with easier options available.
Bring layers, since mountain weather changes quickly, plus hiking shoes, a rain jacket and a warm layer for evenings even in summer. In winter, bring a heavy coat, hat, gloves and insulated boots. US travelers need a passport.
