Executive Retreats
Environments that inspire
Your best thinking happens outside the office.
Executive retreats work when the environment matches the ambition of the agenda. Removed from the building, the calendar, and the next notification, leadership teams think more clearly, disagree more honestly, and commit more fully. Wilder designs executive retreats around your specific business moment, whether that be a a new strategic cycle, a post-merger alignment, or a vision that needs to be owned across the room. We build the environment that enables you to drive the conversation.
WHY IT WORKS
What your leadership team gains from a week away.
Facilitated Strategy Sessions
Wilder designs the environment for your most important conversations. Private meeting spaces, structured facilitation frameworks, and agenda design that moves your team from discussion to decision.
The Wilder Effect
Nature reduces cortisol, improves creative thinking, and accelerates interpersonal trust. We build in the right amount of outdoor programming like morning hikes to create the mental space for breakthrough thinking.
Private Dining Experiences
Wilder designs private dining experiences that extend the strategic conversation into a different gear that is relaxed, honest, and off the record.
Closing Synthesis & Commitment
A transformative retreat produces decisions, not just discussion. We help capture commitments, assign ownership, and give your leadership team a shared document they carry back to the office.

Connect & Plan
We start with a complimentary consultation to learn about your team and goals. Together, we pick the right destination and outline your retreat objectives.

There's no better way
As a remote team, it's important for us to create an intentional space for us to come together and connect as more than co-workers. We believe there's no better way to do that than in nature and Wilder Retreats helped us do just that.

The best experience ever.
We've worked with Wilder Retreats on over three retreats now and it's been the best experience ever. They have great locations in their pocket, work closely with you on budget and details, and are always a step ahead with planning. I don't know how we'd execute on our team offsites without them!

Nothing short of magical!
Our time with Wilder Retreats in Yosemite was nothing short of magical. We explored, we laughed, and we grew together. It was a humbling reminder of the beauty and power of nature, and of the importance of fostering connections with those around us.

We'd choose Wilder Retreats again without hesitation!
Wilder Retreats ran our firmwide offsite this year. It was clear we had a true partner in Wilder. From the earliest planning chats through the final goodbye for the airport, our Wilder Retreats team was responsive, organized, and upbeat, so much so that our own staff who worked with them to plan could simply enjoy the retreat instead of juggling logistics. The result was a relaxed, engaging few days where people could focus on connecting with colleagues and re‑energizing for the year ahead. We came away feeling both cared for and confident that we’d choose Wilder Retreats again without hesitation!

Highly recommend Wilder Retreats!
Wilder Retreats presented, organized and executed a company retreat in Big Sky for us. The details were communicated in a timely manner both prior to the event and during. Our group had an amazing time! I would highly recommend Wilder Retreats.

Frequently Asked Questions
An executive retreat is a focused offsite designed specifically for senior leadership, typically a C-suite, VP-level team, or board. The group is smaller, the agenda is more concentrated, and the stakes are higher. Rather than broad team-building, the objective is usually strategic alignment, long-horizon planning, or working through a specific organizational challenge. Wilder designs executive retreats that create the conditions for that kind of thinking, with private settings, intentional facilitation, and enough downtime for real conversation to happen.
We start with a pre-retreat intake conversation, usually with the CEO or executive sponsor. We want to understand the specific business context, what has been stuck, what decisions need to come out of the retreat, and how the leadership team tends to work best together. The agenda is built from those inputs. We do not hand you a template and ask you to fill it in.
Most executive retreats run 2 to 4 days. Less than two full days rarely produces the depth of conversation that makes the trip worth taking. More than four days is often hard to justify for a senior team with competing demands. For most groups, three days hits the balance between depth and practicality.
We work with venues that offer the appropriate level of privacy, and we treat all client information with discretion by default. If your program requires NDA coverage or specific security protocols, we accommodate that from the start of the planning process.
The right destination depends on the size of the group, the objective, and the time of year. Smaller leadership teams often do best in intimate mountain or coastal settings like Vail, Carmel Valley, Sedona, the Blue Ridge Mountains; or an international property in Iceland or Montenegro. We will recommend options that match the tone of the program you are trying to run, not just the ones that photograph well.
