The Challenge
What Was Getting in the Way
Echidna Giving wasn’t looking to reinvent its advisory board meeting. They needed a trusted partner who could help deliver a well-organized event while reducing the pressure on the internal team responsible for making it happen.
With senior leadership, board members, and outside vendors all involved, even small details carried added importance. After previous meetings left room for improvement, Echidna Giving wanted this gathering to feel more organized, more polished, and less stressful for everyone involved, especially the planner coordinating it all.
The Approach
What We Did Together
Together, Wilder and Echidna Giving designed a meeting that balanced productive board sessions with thoughtfully selected experiences outside the conference room. Located just outside San Francisco, the venue kept the group close to the organization’s headquarters while providing a comfortable setting for focused discussions.
Wilder coordinated every aspect of the event, from meeting logistics and vendor management to seating, décor, and off-site experiences, including a visit to the Berkeley Sculpture Garden and an art class tailored to the group’s schedule. As attendee travel plans shifted and dinner preferences evolved, Wilder adapted quickly, securing a restaurant in Palo Alto that exceeded the board’s expectations despite weeks of changing requests.
The Outcome
What Changed
By the end of the meeting, Echidna Giving had exactly what it set out to achieve: a well-executed event that allowed leadership to focus on meaningful conversations instead of logistical details.
