The Challenge

What Was Getting in the Way

When your entire company is remote and you’re racing a product launch deadline, the moments where people are physically in the same room carry a lot of weight. For Vivun, a fully remote AI company of 70 people, getting together twice a year isn’t a perk. It’s the connective tissue that keeps a high-performing team from drifting apart.

They came into the retreat carrying real pressure: product timelines, the constant noise of differentiating in a crowded AI market, and all the moving parts that come with coordinating a large group across many time zones. They needed an experience that matched their energy and raised it. Not a standard hotel ballroom offsite, but something that would live in the team’s memory long after they got home.

“Managing a diverse team of personalities coming from all parts of the country and world is a challenge you can’t overcome by Zoom.”

Claire Bruice, COO, Vivun

The Approach

What We Did Together

Wilder pushed Vivun toward Marrakech, and they trusted the call. The city rewarded that trust immediately. Half-day meetings gave the team space to do real work, while afternoons opened into full-group and choice activities that made the most of one of the world’s most culturally immersive cities.

The centerpiece was the Medina Quest: a competitive, clue-based scavenger hunt that sent teams racing through the ancient medina, working together to solve challenges and find the next location. It was genuinely fun and genuinely revealing, the kind of activity where you see how people collaborate under pressure and where new team members fold into the group naturally. Evenings brought the team to offsite dinners with entertainment that turned meals into experiences. Every piece of the itinerary leaned into where they were.

The Outcome

What Changed

By the final day, the group moved differently. The dynamic that was already positive deepened into something closer. The word that kept coming up was family. New team members who arrived as strangers left as part of the fabric. The Medina Quest in particular became the moment people kept coming back to: everyone was all in, working together, competing hard, and laughing harder.

The retreat was good enough that Vivun booked again.

“Every detail, from meal coordination to timing and logistics, was handled seamlessly. Thank you Wilder for delivering a smooth, impactful, and highly enjoyable retreat.”
