Why choose Hong Kong for a corporate retreat?
Hong Kong packs a world city and real wilderness into one short trip. Teams can meet in Central, hike a ridge above the South China Sea the next morning and paddle out to a beach by the afternoon. About 40% of the territory is protected country park, and the sea cliffs of Sai Kung are part of a UNESCO Global Geopark. One nonstop flight gets your team there, and every venue we recommend is under an hour from the airport. October through April brings the most comfortable weather.

In their words
Why teams keep booking with Wilder

As a remote team, it's important for us to create an intentional space for us to come together and connect as more than co-workers. We believe there's no better way to do that than in nature and Wilder Retreats helped us do just that.
Chris ClarkCEO
We've worked with Wilder Retreats on over three retreats now and it's been the best experience ever. They have great locations in their pocket, work closely with you on budget and details, and are always a step ahead with planning. I don't know how we'd execute on our team offsites without them!
Britt CooperVP of Talent
Our time with Wilder Retreats in Yosemite was nothing short of magical. We explored, we laughed, and we grew together. It was a humbling reminder of the beauty and power of nature, and of the importance of fostering connections with those around us.
Lily BakourHead of Communications
Wilder Retreats ran our firmwide offsite this year. It was clear we had a true partner in Wilder. From the earliest planning chats through the final goodbye for the airport, our Wilder Retreats team was responsive, organized, and upbeat, so much so that our own staff who worked with them to plan could simply enjoy the retreat instead of juggling logistics. The result was a relaxed, engaging few days where people could focus on connecting with colleagues and re‑energizing for the year ahead. We came away feeling both cared for and confident that we’d choose Wilder Retreats again without hesitation!
Emma DysonChief of Staff
Wilder Retreats presented, organized and executed a company retreat in Big Sky for us. The details were communicated in a timely manner both prior to the event and during. Our group had an amazing time! I would highly recommend Wilder Retreats.

Frequently asked questions
Hong Kong puts a world city and real wilderness within an hour of each other. Teams can meet in Central, hike a ridge above the sea the next morning and eat dinner on a fishing waterfront that night, without a long transfer between any of it.
It depends on your group. The Murray is a restored 1969 landmark in Central with 336 rooms, a strong fit for leadership teams that want the city at the door. WM Hotel in Sai Kung has 260 rooms, most with sea-view balconies, and sits next to the Geopark and coastal trails. Auberge Discovery Bay on Lantau has 322 rooms, the largest ballroom of the three and a 25-minute ferry to Central. Many groups split the stay between the city and the coast.
October through April is the most comfortable season, with drier air and cooler days that suit hiking and time on the water. Summer is hot and humid, and typhoon season runs roughly from May to November, so we build weather backups into every summer and fall itinerary.
Most groups fly into Hong Kong International Airport (HKG), which has nonstop flights from major U.S. and European cities. The Murray is about 30 to 40 minutes away, Auberge Discovery Bay is about 25 minutes by coach, and WM Hotel in Sai Kung is under an hour by road.
Yes. Auberge Discovery Bay has 322 rooms, more than 3,000 square meters of event space and a 700-square-meter pillar-free ballroom. WM Hotel has a grand ballroom and eight meeting rooms. For smaller leadership groups, The Murray offers a more private setting in Central.
Dragon boat racing is a Hong Kong tradition in which a crew paddles a long, narrow boat in time to a drummer. A coach teaches the stroke and the rhythm first, so beginners can race by the end of the session. It rewards timing and teamwork more than strength.
Beyond the featured experiences, teams can sail Victoria Harbour on a chartered junk boat, kayak the sea caves of the UNESCO Global Geopark, ride the cable car to the Big Buddha on Lantau, visit the stilt-house fishing village of Tai O or take the Peak Tram up Victoria Peak.
Hong Kong is one of the best food cities in the world. We can plan a dim sum class, a dai pai dong street food tour, a private dinner above Central or a seafood cook-off using fish bought that afternoon on the Sai Kung waterfront.
Yes. Trails, beaches and outlying islands make it easy to step away from screens. We can build in phone-free hikes and time on the water while keeping meeting rooms connected for the sessions that need it.
Bring light, breathable layers, a rain jacket, sunscreen, a hat and closed-toe shoes with grip for trails. Add swimwear for the beach and the water. Most U.S. visitors can enter visa-free for short stays, and we send every team a packing list and entry checklist before the trip.
Wilder handles every logistical detail, saving internal teams an average of 100+ planning hours. We build each itinerary around your business goals, so the sessions, activities and downtime all support what you want your team to leave with.
