If It Matters to Your Business, We Can Build It.

Not every retreat fits a category.

Wilder works with organizations across a wide range of retreat formats. We do everything from board offsites and new hire onboarding intensives to wellness retreats, department summits, and milestone celebrations. If you have a business objective and a team that needs to come together around it, we can design the experience. Tell us what you want to accomplish. We’ll figure out the rest.

Experiences

Some of the programs we build most often.

Board & advisory retreats

Board members and advisors need a different kind of retreat, one that is private, high-trust, and deliberately structured around governance, strategy, and long-horizon thinking. We design board offsites that create the conditions for the conversations that rarely happen in quarterly meetings.

New hire onboarding intensives

First impressions compound. A new hire cohort retreat accelerates the trust-building, cultural immersion, and peer relationship formation that normally takes months. We design onboarding retreats that get new team members invested in the mission and connected to the people around them in days, not quarters.

Department & functional summits

Engineering. Marketing. Finance. People. Every department has a specific agenda that deserves its own offsite instead of a watered-down slice of the company-wide retreat. We design functional summits around the specific goals, culture, and working style of your team.

Milestone & celebration retreats

Ten-year anniversary. Series C close. A record-breaking quarter. Some moments deserve more than a party. We design celebration retreats that honor the achievement, invest in the relationships behind it, and set the stage for what comes next.

As a remote team, it's important for us to create an intentional space for us to come together and connect as more than co-workers. We believe there's no better way to do that than in nature and Wilder Retreats helped us do just that.

We've worked with Wilder Retreats on over three retreats now and it's been the best experience ever. They have great locations in their pocket, work closely with you on budget and details, and are always a step ahead with planning. I don't know how we'd execute on our team offsites without them!

Wilder Retreats ran our firmwide offsite this year. It was clear we had a true partner in Wilder. From the earliest planning chats through the final goodbye for the airport, our Wilder Retreats team was responsive, organized, and upbeat, so much so that our own staff who worked with them to plan could simply enjoy the retreat instead of juggling logistics. The result was a relaxed, engaging few days where people could focus on connecting with colleagues and re‑energizing for the year ahead. We came away feeling both cared for and confident that we’d choose Wilder Retreats again without hesitation!

GOT QUESTIONS? WE’VE GOT ANSWERS

Frequently asked questions

What types of corporate retreats does Wilder plan beyond standard team offsites?

Wilder designs a range of programs for companies and organizations with specific objectives that fall outside a typical company retreat. Common examples include board and advisory offsites, new hire onboarding intensives, department or functional summits for groups like engineering, marketing, or finance teams, milestone celebration retreats for anniversaries or major company achievements, and leadership development programs. If you have a group and a goal, reach out and we will tell you whether we are a good fit.

Can Wilder help us figure out what kind of retreat we actually need?

Yes, and this is often one of the most useful parts of the first conversation. A lot of companies come to us knowing they want to do something, without being sure what format will best serve the goal. We will ask the right questions and give you an honest recommendation about what kind of program is most likely to produce the outcome you are looking for.

Do you have a minimum group size for custom retreat programs?

Our sweet spot is groups of 20 or more. We evaluate each request individually, so reach out even if your group is smaller and we will tell you what is feasible. For programs under 15 people, the logistics and economics of certain venue types change, and we will be upfront about how that affects the program design.

How long does it take to plan a fully custom retreat?

Most custom programs take 3 to 6 months to plan for domestic events and 6 to 12 months for international destinations. We can move faster when the timeline requires it. The earlier you reach out, the more flexibility we have on venue selection, pricing, and design.

What makes Wilder different from booking a retreat venue directly or using a standard event planning service?

Three things. First, Wilder has pre-negotiated wholesale rates with properties and vendors across our destination portfolio. That buying power means your budget goes further with us than it would booking direct, and in most cases our planning fees are effectively offset by what you save on accommodations and logistics. Second, we design the program around your business objective, not just the logistics. Third, one dedicated specialist owns your program from first call to final goodbye. You are not managing a roster of vendors. You have one partner who is accountable for the whole thing.
