The Challenge

What Was Getting in the Way

TowerPoint is a telecommunications infrastructure and wireless real estate investment company with a largely remote workforce. While employees collaborated effectively day to day, opportunities to spend meaningful time together in person were rare.

Leadership wanted the company’s first retreat to strengthen relationships across the team while creating space for productive conversations away from the office. Like many first-time retreat hosts, there was excitement about the opportunity, along with uncertainty about how the experience would come together and what kind of impact it would have.

The Approach

What We Did Together

Together, Wilder and TowerPoint chose Tanque Verde Ranch, a destination that encouraged the team to stay together throughout the retreat rather than dispersing between activities. The all-in-one setting created natural opportunities for conversation, connection, and collaboration from morning meetings through evening gatherings.

Mornings were dedicated to company meetings, while afternoons shifted toward shared experiences that gave employees time to connect outside the conference room. Highlights included the Margarita & Salsa Challenge, a lighthearted team-building activity that encouraged collaboration and plenty of laughter while reinforcing the retreat’s focus on bringing people together.

Aside from a few last-minute attendee cancellations, the retreat unfolded smoothly, allowing the team to stay focused on the experience rather than the logistics.

What Changed

By the end of the retreat, TowerPoint had accomplished exactly what it set out to do. Employees who normally interacted through screens had the opportunity to spend meaningful time together, building stronger relationships through both structured meetings and shared experiences.
