Shutters on the Beach has 198 rooms right on the sand in Santa Monica, a strong fit for mid-size groups that want to walk to the pier and town. Calamigos Ranch has 51 cottages and bungalows on 250 acres in the hills above Malibu, best for smaller teams that want a quiet, outdoorsy setting. Los Angeles works almost year-round. September and October are often the warmest, clearest months on the coast. Spring is mild and green. May and June can bring morning fog near the beach, known locally as June Gloom, and winter is mild with occasional rain.

Most groups fly into Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), about 20 minutes from Santa Monica and 30 to 40 minutes from Palos Verdes and Malibu. Burbank (BUR) and Long Beach (LGB) are good alternatives. Wilder coordinates group transfers from any of these airports.
