The best NYC offsites skip the airport
A retreat within driving distance gives you back a full day. No flights, no connections, no one stuck in a terminal while the opening session starts without them. A chartered coach leaves from Midtown and the work can start on the ride.
The region delivers real nature, too. The Shawangunk Ridge, the Catskills, the Berkshires and the Pocono lakes are all within about three hours of Manhattan, and each has lodges built for groups that want to think clearly and spend time outside together.
Venues by drive time
Drive times are typical weekday times by coach from Midtown Manhattan. Traffic on Friday afternoons can add an hour.

Mid-size teams who want a mountain lodge with a modern feel
Wellness-focused retreats for teams of 20 to 100
Adirondack adventure for groups up to about 100. Or fly to Saranac Lake from JFK.

Four places we keep coming back to
Each one gives a team room to meet, real time outdoors and a dinner worth remembering.
Mohonk Mountain House
A Victorian castle on a glacial lake with 85 miles of trails on the Shawangunk Ridge. Big enough for a full company, with meeting rooms that open onto the mountains.
Wildflower Farms
Cabins and cottages on 140 acres of meadow below the Gunks, with a farm-driven restaurant and a spa. It feels like a private estate for a leadership team.
Skytop Lodge
A 1928 stone lodge on 5,500 acres above a private lake. Ballroom space for 300, 30 miles of trails and an adventure center for team challenges.
Woodstock Inn & Resort
Worth the longer drive for a classic New England village, covered bridges and fall color. Ideal for a 3-night retreat with a ski or hiking day built in.

Frequently asked questions
What are the best corporate retreat venues near NYC?
For most teams we start with the Hudson Valley (Mohonk Mountain House, Wildflower Farms, Inness), the Pocono Mountains (Skytop Lodge, The Lodge at Woodloch) and the Catskills. All are about 2 to 2.5 hours from Midtown.
How far from New York City can we go without flying?
About 2 hours gets you to the Hudson Valley and the Poconos, 3 hours to the Berkshires and the Upper Delaware, and 4.5 to 5 hours to Vermont and the Adirondacks. Beyond that, a short flight is usually easier.
How do we get the team there?
Most groups take a chartered coach from Midtown, which turns the drive into working time. We also arrange shuttles from Newark, LaGuardia and JFK for attendees flying in.
When is the best time for a retreat near NYC?
September and October bring fall color and mild days, and book up first. May and June are a close second. Winter works well for spa and ski retreats, and rates are lower.
How much does a corporate retreat near NYC cost?
Most of our retreats run $750 to $1,500 per person per day, depending on the venue, season, group size and experiences. Try our budget calculator for an estimate.
Can these venues host 100 or more people?
Yes. Mohonk Mountain House, Skytop Lodge and The Acres all host groups of 100 or more. Wildflower Farms, Inness, The Lodge at Woodloch and Twin Farms suit smaller leadership teams.
